Features and Usage

Can I speak commands and punctuation when I dictate?

Yes. If you want to have punctuation in your dictation results, you can speak it by saying "comma", "full stop", etc. Some special symbols such as "£", "%" are automatically placed in context. You can also execute some basic text commands by speaking them; for example you can say "New Paragraph" to have a new paragraph in your dictation. Below is a list of commonly used commands and punctuation.

System Requirements & Installation

What are the minimum system requirements?
The application is supported on iPad™, iPad2™ iPhone™ - 3G, 3Gs , 4, 4S and iPod touch™ - 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation models. However, OS 4.0 is required for users that want to paste dictated text directly into the iPhone SMS client.

Privacy

Privacy Policy
We understand our users' privacy rights and concerns and assure you that uploaded data is used only to enhance your experience with the application. The Dragon Dictation application only uploads contact names (no phone numbers, email addresses, etc) if you opted to upload at installation or from the application settings. The data is used to optimise speech recognition when a user speaks a contact name whilst dictating text messages and emails. Dictation requests are transcribed by fully automated speech recognition software, without the use of humans. We ensure data integrity and security. All speech recognition requests and associated data are processed in data centres in EMEA that adhere to stringent security and privacy standards; these are the same standards that we use for processing sensitive information in other areas of our business.
